Here's how the 'Tsunagi' stencil looks on a piece of furniture. Base coat is powder blue and stenciled pattern is grey, custom mixed chalk paint.
Going to now paint over this and re-stencil to showcase another of my stencil designs. Just have to choose one first...hmm...decisions decisions!
One of my latest stencil design the Marrakech Letter Stencil. Each stencil sold as a separate letter, different sizes available. Visit my ETSY SHOP to view more designs.
I came across this fantastic garden/yard make-over by Warehouse Collective (check out The Perfect Little Patio link of theirs).
But here's a few pics of the finished job! How amazing is that concrete floor!
Well finally...I finished stenciling the chair!
Decided not to paint any other parts of the chair, thought it might detract from the stencil pattern.
I used Annie Sloan's Pure White chalk paint. I haven't sealed it yet and am wondering whether to use clear or dark wax? Hmmm...might sand back some of the stencil too for that shabby chic worn look.
Finally got round to testing out my Silhouette Cameo cutting machine on my first furniture stencil...woop woop!
And I've found a piece of furniture to test it on...something smallish for starters!
So if you don't see any more posts about this or after pics, it probably means it didn't work out so good! Ha ha...regardless I'll post pics anyway. You only learn how to get it right by getting it wrong first!
Yikes, its been 8 days since I posted!! Been soooo busy with The Park Hair Room design but last coat of wax going on tomorrow! I have a few sneaky preview pics before the final reveal.
The reception desk and window seat has had a base coat of dark grey and then top coats of antique white chalk paint. The two pieces were then heavily distressed on the edges to reveal the dark grey and wood underneath.
Hopefully I wont be away too long next time! And I really want to take pics of the whole design before opening day!! :)
Yeh!! My Silhouette Cameo cutting machine has arrived! So excited to try it out but first I've got to digest all the technical bumph...hmmmm...might have to wait for the hubby to get back so he can figure it out for me! He's the one with the technical mind, I'll stick to painting and creating! Ha ha :) x
I've been on the look out for some inspiring ideas to re-love a friend's sideboard...there's just so much out there to inspire us! Here's but a few I found on my travels.
